This remote course, taught by BABCP accredited Psychological Well-being Practitioners, is aimed at supporting people who are experiencing stress. It gives a CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) overview of what stress is and how it can impact us both physically and mentally. The course runs through a number of CBT based self help techniques to support the attendees to reduce their stress and build resilience. The techniques taught are in line with NICE Guidelines for treating mild to moderate stress. The attendees will also learn mindfulness based relaxation techniques and will be encouraged to complete work between sessions in order to get the full benefit of the course. The final session looks at building resilience and relapse prevention to support participants to recognise when or if they experience symptoms of stress in the future, that they can put the learnt techniques in place to support themselves in the long term.

This remote course, taught by BABCP accredited Psychological Well-being Practitioners, is aimed at supporting people who are experiencing symptoms of mild to moderate depression. Attendees will be supported to understand a CBT based cycle of depression and look at their own cycle of depression. They then build on this knowledge by learning NICE Guidelines recommended CBT self help techniques to reengage with activities and challenge negative thinking patterns. This is a practical course with participants benefiting most from engaging with work outside of the sessions to fully practice the techniques taught. The final session looks at building resilience and relapse prevention to support participants to recognise when or if they experience symptoms of depression in the future, that they can put the learnt techniques in place to support themselves in the long term.
